Sport Division: Polish precision shines on historic Portuguese circuit
Club Division: Joel Monegro the benchmark with two commanding wins
Estoril, February 4, 2026. For the second consecutive weekend, the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe visited Portugal. One week after racing in Portimão, competitors headed to the iconic Estoril circuit. Milan Marczak (RedAnt Racing) was the standout performer in the Sport Division, securing pole position and winning both races. In the Club Division, Joel Monegro (Track Experience by Manthey) also completed a perfect weekend with two victories. The championship now moves on to Valencia on February 20 and 21.

Estoril is steeped in motorsport history, with Ayrton Senna claiming his first Formula 1 victory there in 1985. Today, the circuit continues to be a prime stage for high-level racing, and the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe once again delivered a strong field of teams and drivers.

Just as in Portimão, Milan Marczak topped the timesheets in qualifying, claiming his second pole position of the season. This time, the young Polish driver converted pole into a double race victory. Over two 30-minute races plus one lap, he held off relentless pressure from Wouter Boerekamps (Team GP Elite), also setting the fastest lap in both contests.
Boerekamps finished second in race one, while the fight behind the leading duo was extremely close, with only a few seconds separating the drivers from third to seventh.
“We saw intense, close-quarters battles. That’s great for the show, but also perfect preparation for the coming season,” said Series Manager Lars Plato.
In the opening race, Hjeltte Hoffner (MDM Motorsport) clinched third place at the finish, followed by Marco Giltrap (Team75 Motorsport GmbH), Nick Ho (Team GP Elite), Alex Reimann (EST1 Racing), and Tio Ellinas (EST1 Racing). All six drivers crossed the line within four seconds. Jesse Polderdijk (RedAnt Racing) was the top rookie, ahead of Levin Gelf (SEEBACH Motorsport).

Race two saw Marczak once again edge out Boerekamps in a closely fought battle. Giltrap finished third, followed by Reimann and Hoffner. Polderdijk again claimed rookie honours.
At the halfway stage of the season, Boerekamps leads the championship, followed by Marczak and Giltrap, with the title fight wide open.

Club Division: Monegro unbeatable twice
The Club Division also delivered strong action, featuring racing entrepreneurs and gentleman drivers. In race one, Joel Monegro defeated Javier Ripoll Junior (EST1 Racing) and Oleksandr Dobik (Hadeca Racing), who were engaged in a fierce fight with Ihsan Levent Türkmen (MDM Motorsport) and Merabi Mekvabishvili (Laptime-Performance). The battle for the podium was decided by just a few seconds. Daniel Lewis finished sixth and was the top GT4 driver among the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Type 992 field.
In race two, Monegro once again prevailed, finishing two seconds ahead of Ripoll. Eric Santos (Track Experience by Manthey), who had retired in race one, recovered to take third place, holding off Hans Frisch (a-workx by KATANA Tools). Mekvabishvili completed the top five, ahead of Caspar Hoogeboom (Team GP Elite), who narrowly beat GT4 winner Daniel Lewis.
After four races, Monegro leads the Club Division standings.

The next stop in the championship is in Valencia on February 20th and 21st.
