The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe (PSCSE) has already finalized its calendar for the 2027 season. As in previous years, the organization has opted for a compact and efficient winter calendar, featuring four events at well-known top locations in Southern Europe. The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe remains faithful to its established philosophy, offering racing in a true Porsche environment. Not only is there intense competition on track, but teams and drivers also benefit from optimal conditions to prepare for the upcoming season, all within a setting that reflects Porsche’s racing heritage and values.

The season kicks off from January 22 to 24 at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão, followed by a second event at the Circuito do Estoril (January 28–30). In February, the competition moves to Spain, with Valencia (February 19–21) and Barcelona (February 25–27) concluding the winter season. “These four circuits are fixtures on the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe calendar and consistently deliver exciting and intense race weekends, as we have seen in previous seasons,” said Series Manager Lars Plato.

Compact calendar and maximum track time
The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe continues to follow its back-to-back weekend format, allowing teams and drivers to complete multiple races within a short period. The transition between Valencia and Barcelona will be made even more compact, further optimizing the winter program and improving logistical efficiency.
“In 2027, the focus will again be on maximizing track time. Each event includes a pre-event test day with 3.5 hours of track time, followed by an official test day included in the entry fee, with another 3.5 hours. The race weekend itself consists of a free practice session, qualifying, and two races,” Lars Plato continued in his preview of the 2027 season. “This approach makes the PSCSE an ideal preparation for the summer season. Drivers have the opportunity to prepare under optimal conditions, better understand their cars, and continuously build rhythm during the winter months. For rookies, the championship is a particularly valuable learning platform, while gentleman drivers also appreciate the combination of competitive racing and attractive locations. We remain a competition for pro drivers, rookies, and gentleman drivers, that is part of the DNA of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe.”

A benchmark platform towards the summer season
In recent years, the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe has developed into a key fixture within Porsche one-make racing. The championship has repeatedly proven its role as a springboard to success in summer competitions.
Several former participants and champions have gone on to deliver strong performances in national and international Porsche series after completing a winter program in the PSCSE. This confirms the championship’s position as a benchmark platform for drivers looking to prepare optimally for an intense summer season, examples include Robert de Haan, Chester Kieffer, Flynt Schuring, and more recently the young talent Milan Marczak.

In 2027, the PSCSE will continue to invest in a professional environment, including live streaming of all races and hospitality at the level expected of Porsche competitions. Registrations for the 2027 season will open during the summer.
