  • RedAnt Racing dominates in Sport Division and heads to Barcelona as championship leader

  • Monegro in pole position in Club Division as biggest grid of the season approaches

Valencia, February 24, 2026. Valencia, Spain, hosted the third of four events of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe. In the Sport Division, RedAnt Racing delivered a particularly strong weekend, leaving the Spanish round at the top of both the overall standings and the Rookie championship. Milan Marczak and Jesse Polderdijk now head to Barcelona aiming to secure the titles for the Belgian squad. However, the battle remains wide open, just as it does in the Club Division, where Joel Monegro (Track Experience by Manthey) arrives in the Catalan capital leading the standings ahead of the decisive finale. Meanwhile, Daniel Lewis (Race Car Consultants Ltd) has already secured the GT4 title following two class victories.

The championship returned to the Spanish port city for another action-packed weekend. After Thursday’s test sessions, competitive action unfolded on Friday and Saturday in front of packed grandstands. "The Porsche competitions are clearly popular everywhere," said Series Manager Lars Plato. "That’s fantastic to see and it certainly motivated everyone to deliver their very best."

Sport Division: Marczak sets the benchmark

It was unquestionably Milan Marczak’s weekend in the Sport Division. The young RedAnt Racing driver claimed his fifth and sixth consecutive pole positions of the season and converted both into race victories. Clinical execution and zero mistakes, exactly what defines a championship contender.

Race one delivered an intense fight for the remaining podium positions. Tio Ellinas (EST1 Racing) secured second place ahead of Wouter Boerekamps (Team GP Elite), who entered the Valencia weekend leading the standings. Alex Reimann (EST1 Racing) staged an impressive recovery drive from seventh to third on track, but a post-race penalty ultimately denied him a podium finish.

The second race proved far more demanding for Marczak. Hjelte Hoffner (MDM Motorsport) applied sustained pressure, forcing Marczak to defend throughout before ultimately sealing victory. Behind them, the battle for third was equally fierce. Alex Reimann and Jack Young (Target Competition) looked set for podium contention, but newcomer Matheus Ferreira (Team GP Elite) capitalised in the closing stages to claim third after an intense final-lap showdown.

In the Rookie class, Henry Wheeler (a-workx by KATANA Tools) secured a double victory, finishing ahead of Jesse Polderdijk and Levin Golf (Seebach Motorsport) across the weekend. Despite Wheeler’s strong performance, it is Polderdijk who leads the Rookie standings heading into the finale.

In the Overall Championship, Marczak now leads with 124 points, followed by Boerekamps on 108. Marco Giltrap (Team 75 Motorsport GmbH) remains mathematically in contention with 83 points. With maximum points still available in Barcelona, the title fight remains alive.

Club Division: decisive finale in sight

The Club Division once again delivered drama and excitement. In Race 1, Javier Ripoll (EST1 Racing) converted pole position into his maiden victory in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe. Oleksandr Dobik (HADECA Racing) secured second place, while Merabi Mekvabischvili (Laptime-Performance) completed the podium.

Race 2 appeared to be heading in Ripoll Jr.’s favour once again after starting from pole. However, a small mistake in the final meters opened the door for Joel Monegro, who seized the opportunity to take victory. Dobik followed in second, with ‘Hunter’ (Laptime-Performance) finishing third.

Monegro now leads the Club Division standings with 136 points, ahead of Ripoll Jr. on 103. Barcelona will decide the champion.

"We are certainly heading toward a spectacular season finale," added Lars Plato. "Beyond the title battles, Barcelona will feature the strongest grids of the season, with no fewer than 20 cars in the Sport Division and 23 in the Club Division. That’s the perfect way to conclude the championship. Together with the teams, drivers, and staff, we’re truly looking forward to it. See you next weekend in Barcelona!"
